• Hybrid Position Located in: Chicagoland
  • Travel Required

MACLYN is hiring a Senior SAE (SAE) to join a growing Account Services Team, charged with creating and delivering integrated marketing campaigns for one of MACLYN’s flagship clients.

(AKA-helpful hints to save us both time; please read carefully before you apply):

  • The SAE position is part of an amazing, talented team. The team considers themselves fortunate to work on an exciting brand and truly enjoys their projects/campaigns.
    • If this is something you are interested in and you are comfortable with the following, please apply.
  • The SAE must have meaningful event marketing experience within an agency or for a brand (4-6 years minimum).
    • If you have ever loaded a truck, inventoried piles of boxes, physically repaired something live at an event, and/or solved a client’s problem before they asked with your proactive planning, please apply.
  • The SAE must be able to handle unforeseen circumstances and come up with quick, feasible solutions.
    • If you have ever moved an outdoor event indoors because of the weather, had to swap out damaged signs because of a pop-up storm or find an all-night laundromat to clean team uniforms, please apply.
  • The SAE must attend evening and weekend events and some travel out of state will be required.
    • If racking up miles, priding yourself on knowing the best highway pit stops and bragging about how close you can cut it to make a flight on time is your thing, please apply.
  • The SAE position is hybrid, meaning time is split between home and the MACLYN office in Naperville each week.
    • If going to an office in Naperville, Illinois, 2/3/4 times a week is not your thing, please don’t apply.

The SAE must have previous marketing agency (specifically, experience in event marketing and onsite event activation) or in-house marketing team experience (minimum 4-6 years). The SAE will be focused on managing and implementing year-round integrated marketing campaigns – with an emphasis on event marketing campaigns – in a variety of markets.

Integrated marketing campaigns include, but are not limited to: event marketing, sponsorship activation, influencer/social media marketing and media relations. Support in various areas will be provided to the SAE, as needed, but a successful candidate should be able to provide strategic guidance, thought leadership and best-in-class implementation in all categories of integrated marketing.

The SAE should be a self-starter and able to prepare for and manage onsite events and activations, as well as encompass the ability to pivot when unforeseen circumstances arise. The SAE should be able to handle all aspects of event planning (ideation, contracts, permitting, event insurance, etc.) and all aspect of executing the event (staffing, premium items, signage, capturing metrics, recaps, etc.). The SAE must be willing to handle every aspect – no matter how small the task – to ensure the client’s event marketing business objectives are met.

The SAE will provide onsite management and travel to client events, many of which take place on the weekends and in the evenings. The SAE will be expected to manage/attend events that occur in the evenings and on the weekends. Additionally, travel may be required to various cities and states.

The SAE will report to the Account Director and will help manage members of the Account Services marketing team. The ideal candidate must flourish in a high-energy, fast-paced environment and has exceptional organizational, communication and people skills. This person must be extremely resourceful and have the ability to work independently.
