Wannemaker’s is Chicagoland’s best garden and home boutique – but as they looked to expand their customer base, the community pillar needed a fresh brand that was relevant to today’s customers while still honoring their roots.
As the 3rd generation of Wannemaker’s took charge of the family business, we helped them plant seeds to keep growing their green. We built a fun new brand, and expanded their advertising into digital to better target their audience. Through a robust new digital presence, we continue to help Wannemaker’s blossom.

MACLYN took the family name, with all its equity and ethos, and made it the actionable promise behind an evolved brand. With fun puns like “WannemakeitSparkle?” and “WannePresentForPops?” we cultivated an artful specialty brand with a focus on growing family traditions. Sales skyrocketed by 30% in year one, and an average of 10% each year since 2011.

There’s no place like homebase for the holidays. Wannemaker’s is Chicagoland’s Holiday Headquarters, and every year we trim a Yuletide billboard to broadcast that they’re the dream destination for all things merry and bright.
