Maclyn is hiring a Chicago-based Tour Manager to support an exciting summer/fall tour representing two nationally recognized brands from June 1 – Oct. 1.
Job Description
We are seeking a reliable, high-energy Tour Manager to support a traveling experiential marketing tour. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys live events, thrives in fast-paced environments, and is comfortable both driving a box truck/large vehicle across the country and executing hands-on event activations on-site
The selected candidate will be responsible for transporting large event equipment/set-up between tour stops, overseeing on-site execution, assisting with setup and breakdown, and representing our client at events.
In coordination with our team, the Tour Manager will help bring activations to life and engage directly with fans throughout each event.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive a box truck to transport event equipment between tour locations (including long-distance routes)
- Coordinate with team members on-site and assist with loading and unloading equipment
- Support and help lead event setup and breakdown (includes physical labor; additional on-site support staff will be provided)
- Act as a Brand Ambassador by engaging with attendees, distributing samples and promotional items, and delivering a positive brand experience
- Ensure all equipment is safely packed, organized, and transported to the next destination
Qualifications & Requirements
- Prior experience in experiential marketing, events, or promotions preferred
- Experience working with QSR brands/food sampling is a plus
- Comfortable driving a box truck and traveling long distances
- Ability to lift and carry 40–50 lbs regularly
- Physically capable of working long hours on your feet in an active environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; outgoing and personable
- Flexible schedule with availability for nights, weekends, and travel
- Mature, dependable, and able to make sound decisions independently
- Positive attitude and enthusiasm for engaging with the public
- Valid driver’s license required
- Clean driving record required
- Must be eligible to work in U.S.
- Ability to pass background/MVR screening
